Scope of Work
With this InstallCard a professional installer will install a Fixed Car Phone into your vehicle. Installation includes mounting the Display Module with an external Microphone, antenna, connection to power and ground and any supplied GPS antenna. Antenna and Vehicle-Specific-Mounting Brackets (VSM) are sold separately.
Disclaimers
- Onstar and some other factory security system play through the factory radio and the installation of an after factory stereo may require replacement modules.
- If the factory wires or dashboard has been cut or damaged due to a previous not professional installation or theft.
- Some vehicles will require additional amplifier bypass harness to rewiring a factory amplifier along with additional labor, for example vehicles that have factory Bose, Infinity or other premium sound system.
- If there is no installation kit available for your dash and the installer may have to fabricate a custom-mounting bracket.
- European cars (BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc.) and some exotic vehicles may need additional labor due to the complexity of their wiring.
- Some Handsfree kits can mute the factory radio when phone rings, this will be additional labor.
- Some Handsfree kits can play the phones sounds through the factory speakers,this will be additional labor.
- Due to the complexity of some cars, some units may not integrate with the vehicles stereo system and require an external speaker.
- Due to the complexity of some cars, some units may require additional harness to integrate into the vehicles stereo system.
